Amy Severinsen, L. Ac., Dipl. OM, MSTOM

Amy Severinsen became interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) while reading about different types of alternative and complimentary medicine. She was especially impressed by the success rates TCM has in treating various disorders, especially those that Western Medicine doesn’t yet have the means to cure, such as fibromyalgia. She decided to give it a try herself, and not only did she find acupuncture and herbal medicine incredibly helpful, but she instantly knew that this was what she wanted to do.

Amy received her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM). She is licensed by the state of Wisconsin and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received clinical training at the PCOM public clinic during her four year program, as well as rotations in the private practice of an experienced acupuncturist. In spring of 2007 she went to China for advanced studies at the Zhejiang University of TCM in Hangzhou.

Aside from practicing medicine, Amy enjoys traveling, cooking, knitting, biking, dancing, yoga and spending time with animals.
