The FeldenkraisMethod is for anyone who wants to reconnect with their natural abilities to move, think, and feel. Whether you want to be more comfortable sitting at your computer, playing with your children, or performing a favorite pastime, these gentle lessons can improve your overall well-being.

Learning to move with less effort makes daily life easier. Because the FeldenkraisMethod focuses on the relationship between movement and thought, increased mental awareness and creativity accompany physical improvements. Everyone, from athletes and artists to administrators and attorneys, can benefit from the FeldenkraisMethod.

After experiencing Feldenkrais® lessons, people often express feelings of relaxation and ease. They may breathe more freely and find their thoughts have more clarity. The learning process is full of pleasant surprises and personal breakthroughs.

Feldenkrais lessons teach you the means to take charge of your own improvement and are offered in two ways, enabling you to discover which learning style is most appropriate for your needs.

Awareness Through Movement®
(ATM) consists of verbally directed, gentle exercise lessons involving sophisticated movement sequences. Using guided attention, ATM allows students to become aware of habits and shows them the possibility for change. The lessons draw on natural intelligence in a gentle and pleasurable way. ATM accesses the sensory motor processes of the brain and involves attention, perception, imagination, and cognition. Lessons last for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Most lessons are based on everyday movements such as sitting, reaching, and standing.

Functional Integration®
is a one-to-one approach to the Feldenkrais Method®. A form of tactile, kinesthetic communication, Functional Integration sessions are designed so the practitioner can help you learn to reorganize your body and your behavior to produce expanded functional motor patterns. Learning, change, and improvement are achieved through the use of nonverbal instructor-guided gentle touch and movement.
Functional Integration is for people of all ages and abilities and can be especially beneficial for those suffering from neurological difficulties and disabilities.

“As we become aware of what we are doing in fact, and not what we say or think we are doing, the way to improvement is wide open to us.”
